About the role

Utilising Shopify's headless architecture, you will be a vital contributor to the creation and upkeep of our e-commerce site. To create outstanding e-commerce experiences for our clients, you will work with cross-functional teams that include designers, backend engineers, and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement custom front-end solutions using Shopify's headless architecture.
• Collaborate with the design team to translate wireframes and mockups into responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate front-end interfaces with Shopify APIs and services.
• Optimize website performance and ensure smooth user experience across devices and browsers.
• Debug and resolve issues related to front-end development, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Shopify development to suggest improvements and innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers to estimate timelines, prioritize tasks, and deliver projects on schedule.
• Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the stability and functionality of the developed features.
• Document technical specifications, code, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain an organized development environment.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior developers, sharing best practices and promoting a collaborative work environment.

What we're looking for

• Strong experience in front-end development using modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React.
• Proven expertise in Shopify development, including building and customizing themes, working with liquid templates, and utilizing Shopify APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify headless architecture and GraphQL.
• Proficient understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset and commitment to writing clean, well-documented code.
• Prior experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
