About the role

As a Shopify Backend Developer, you'll be our code-wielding hero, ensuring our website operates at lightspeed while maintaining the balance in the backend Force. You'll be the guardian of our digital realm, making sure our online store stays up and running, even when the Sith Lords of bugs try to wreak havoc.

Minimum 1+ year experience required

Responsibilities

• Backend Wizardry: Craft and maintain the Shopify backend like a master blacksmith forging Excalibur.
• API Sorcery: Work your magic with APIs, integrating third-party tools, and making our website the ultimate e-commerce powerhouse.
• Data Jedi: Manage databases with the finesse of a lightsaber duel, keeping our data safe and sound.
• Performance Hyperspace Traveler: Ensure our website loads faster than the Millennium Falcon's Kessel Run.
• Bug Bounty Hunter: Hunt down and vanquish bugs with the tenacity of a Jedi pursuing Sith Lords.
• Collaboration Rebel: Join forces with our front-end developers, designers, and marketing rebels to bring our digital dreams to life.
• Sense of Humor: Share a laugh or two with your colleagues, and remember, the Force is strong with those who can make a pun out of '404.'

What we're looking for

• Core Web Fundamentals: HTML, JavaScript, And CSS.
• Strong Knowledge Of Liquid Programming Language.
• Clear Concept Of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript/Jquery.
• Customize, update, and handle bug-free Shopify Websites. Work on Custom functionality using JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, liquid coding, Ruby script, Flow
• Add new sections, filters, products, etc.
• Working with version control methodologies like Git
• Analyze the requirements and provide solutions
• Coordinate with the design team and develop the e-commerce functionality
• Work on issue debugging and troubleshooting
• Responsible for Theme installation and customization
• Shopify plus store development
• Apps setup

Bonus points if you have...

• Experience with Shopify or a similar e-commerce platform.
• Experience developing e-commerce websites. You’ll have a good understanding of common e-commerce patterns.
• Relevant experience in an agency or in-house and/or a degree in digital media design (or similar).
